Empowering Individuals Through Nature, Horses, and Community

At Wild Mane Wilderness & Equine Therapeutic Centre, our mission is to provide a sanctuary where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can find healing, support, and personal growth. We believe that nature and animals, especially horses, hold the power to transform lives. Through equine-assisted learning and wilderness living skills, we empower participants facing mental health challenges, physical disabilities, and social barriers to build confidence, self-awareness, and resilience.

Our programs are designed to be inclusive and accessible, helping people develop skills and connections that stay with them for life. By fostering this unique bond between individuals and the natural world, we aim to create a community of compassion, respect, and shared growth.

About Lisa Park

Meet Our Founder

My name is Lisa Park, and I am the founder of Wild Mane Wilderness & Equine Therapeutic Centre. Living with a rare illness and physical disability, I have experienced first hand the healing power of animals and nature. It was this that inspired me to create a space where others could benefit from the therapeutic qualities of horses and the outdoors.

From training in Wilderness Therapeutic Approaches and Equine Management to developing my skills in psychotherapy, I am passionate about creating a sanctuary where individuals facing their own challenges can discover healing, growth, and connection. Every aspect of Wild Mane has been made possible through personal dedication and the support of volunteers and community partnerships. I welcome you to be a part of this journey, whether by participating, volunteering, or sponsoring one of our cherished ponies.
